Formula selection
We favor standard, explainable formulas that match the question stated on the page. When several valid models exist, the page describes the model used and its limitations.
Calculation standards
- Calculation functions are separated from interface code.
- Every tool includes at least one independently checkable worked example.
- Automated tests cover known results and invalid denominators.
- Results never intentionally return undefined, infinity or not-a-number values.
- Currency selectors change presentation only; they do not imply live exchange rates.
Sources and review
Sources help define a metric or document a platform-specific convention. A source does not endorse CalcMotive. Pages display their last review date and are reconsidered when formulas, platform definitions or cited materials change.
