Current approach
CalcMotive does not create a user account, save calculator inputs in local storage or operate its own advertising identifier. The active publisher stack is google. Ads, consent management, ad slots and provider network code are selected together; Google and Ezoic runtimes cannot be combined.
Technology categories
| Category | Purpose | Consent approach |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Deliver pages, protect the service and remember privacy choices when the consent platform is active. | Used only where necessary to provide the requested service or record the visitor's choice. |
| Analytics | Measure aggregate page use and a restricted set of calculator interactions through Google Analytics. | Disabled until configured and loaded only when the Google consent state permits it. |
| Advertising | Deliver, limit, measure or personalize advertising through Google AdSense and participating providers. | Not enabled before AdSense configuration and the applicable consent requirements are complete. |
Publisher consent mode
CalcMotive uses Google Privacy & Messaging as its consent management system when Google Analytics or AdSense is active. It may use essential storage to remember the consent decision, make the appropriate controls available and provide the current vendor and purpose details. CalcMotive does not maintain a second competing consent banner or consent record.
Google Consent Mode v2 is initialized before any configured Google tag with analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization set to denied. Analytics page reporting is limited to the origin and path, without calculator query values. A visitor can reject optional purposes without losing access to the calculators or editorial content.
Changing or withdrawing a choice
When the Google consent platform is active, use Privacy and cookie settings in the footer to reopen the message and change or withdraw a choice. Browser settings can also display or remove site storage. Deleting the consent record may cause the privacy message to appear again.
Browser signals
Browser cookie controls can block or delete storage independently of the site's controls. CalcMotive does not currently interpret a Do Not Track signal as a separate consent decision because there is no universally applied standard for that signal; the explicit consent controls remain available where required.
Updates and questions
This policy is revised when an active technology, purpose or provider materially changes. Questions can be sent to hello@calcmotive.com.
