Our approach
CalcMotive aims to make its calculators and editorial content usable by people with a wide range of abilities, devices and input methods. The product target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This statement describes a target and testing process, not a third-party certification.
Implemented support
- Semantic headings, landmarks, labels and visible keyboard focus.
- Calculator validation summaries linked to the affected fields.
- Keyboard-operable forms, navigation, result actions and chart exploration.
- Text descriptions for scenario charts and results that do not rely on color alone.
- Responsive layouts tested down to a 320-pixel viewport.
- Content and formulas that remain readable when calculator JavaScript is unavailable.
- No required account, timed interaction or consent wall for calculator access.
Testing
Automated checks cover semantic structure, keyboard interaction, mobile overflow and representative accessibility audits. Automated tools cannot identify every barrier, so manual keyboard and assistive-technology review remains part of the release checklist.
Known limitations
Browser, screen-reader and chart behavior can differ across combinations of software. Generated social-preview images are supplementary and do not replace the page's text. If a chart interaction is difficult to use, the result panel and textual chart detail provide the same essential values.
Feedback
Report an accessibility barrier to hello@calcmotive.com. Include the page URL, browser, assistive technology if relevant, and the task you were trying to complete. Do not send confidential calculator values or personal records.
